Saturday, July 16, 2011 - This month we went on a "Tropical
Trail/River" run with Classic Minis United, the local Classic Mini club, on our
way to the International Palms Resort in Cocoa Beach. The resort hosted the "Big
50 LancerBeach Party", which is the official name for a 50th-year high school
reunion for a British/American high school, Lakenheath. They had classmates
from all around the world and they invited us to display our British cars on the
promenade (a beautiful area) while giving us use of a hospitality suite. Over 20
classic Minis and MG's participated in the cruise and "Car Show". The classmates
voted for "Best Popular Choice" by placing small "tokens" in the car of their
choice. New MGCCF member Bob Webb's MGTD won, and received a very nice trophy.
Many thanks to the classmates of Lakenheath, and the members of Classic Minis
United for a terrific event. More "joint events" are anticipated. here are lots
